Julie has been behind the chair for 5 years and opened The Gentz Barbershop in April of last year, quickly establishing it as one of the most unique and welcoming shops in town. Her skin fades are clean, sharp, and consistently on point, and clients love that she can deliver a flawless fade with a styled top - all within 30 minutes. Her gentlemen's cuts stay fresh, modern, and aligned with the newest trends. Julie's shop stands out for its atmosphere, creativity, and the personal touches she brings to every detail. Kids especially love the mind-teaser games she selected to keep them entertained while parents get a trim, and they always look forward to the special little gift offered after their haircut. Her specialties include skin fades, perms, and waxing for nose and ears. Outside the shop, Julie enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, and playing with her French bulldogs. She is a proud mom of two - her son is a firefighter, and her daughter is exploring her options for future college plans.
Kim
Kim has been behind the chair for 46 years, bringing a lifetime of experience and artistry to every client she serves. As a long-time resident of the valley - including Steamboat and the surrounding areas - she understands the community and the people who sit in her chair. Her approach to women's hair color and cuts is truly above the rest. Kim has a gift for creating the perfect match for clients who aren't quite sure what they want, guiding them with honesty, creativity, and a deep understanding of style. This place is great! Julie and the rest of the team are wonderful to work with they are very accommodating and understand what you're looking for in a haircut and not pressuring into something you're not comfortable with. The online scheduler makes it so much easier to pick a time that works for everybody so I would suggest that for people if they're interested.
